DISRUPTION.
It’s not only a marketing tool, it’s a life tool too.
If you want to know how well you have your shit together, then ask the Universe/Divine/God to test you.
It will willingly oblige.
The last few weeks have felt like nothing but disruption.
From my family’s living situation to urgent last-minute changes at work, everything is entirely out of sorts.
Well, to me.
If disruption has taught me anything, it’s that I should hold all things loosely—because everything, at some point, is going to change.
Hope and expectation in the face of disruption are two different things.
The first begets optimism no matter the circumstance, especially if you’re hoping for the best. The second merely sets you up for disappointment when it’s not met.
I’ve found hope to be a powerful anchor in the midst of change.
Disruption has also taught me that being fluid is more transformative than being flexible.
When you’re flexible, you can still break. But when you’re fluid, you merely go with the flow.
Fluidity creates a lot less tension (and friction) when navigating obstacles in the midst of disruption.
These shifts in perspective, born through many failed attempts, certainly help me.
Maybe you capture some learning from this to apply to your own life in the coming days.
