Must-Read Articles
How to Sell to Baby Boomers Online (via Stacked Marketer)
Why I recommend it 👉 If you’re in eCommerce, you need to read this article. Not only are Boomers the richest generation, they’re becoming more and more active online (including with their spending). So what behaviors do the majority engage in? How do they research products? How can you effectively advertise to them? Well, that’s what this report is all about.
Power of Text on Statics (via The Playbook)
Why I recommend it 👉 Copy can live anywhere. One of the most effective (and sometimes afterthought) places it shows up? As text on static image ads. This article highlights the science behind text on images and gives you some actionable tips for optimizing the copy on your own statics.
The Litmus Team’s Top Email Tips for 2025 (via Litmus)
Why I recommend it 👉 If you’re in retention (er, email?) marketing, then this is a must read. I hesitate to recommend an article about what to expect in 2025, but Litmus’ predictions seem fairly on point with the way I see the industry trending myself. From more dynamic content to generative AI and even newsletters, read what Litmus recommends for 2025.

Why I recommend it 👉 Brands that want to succeed in 2025 need to craft a clear and cohesive story that resonates with their audience. To go further, this story should guide all marketing efforts and touch points because it is what will create a meaningful connection with customers.
So how do you do that and what does it look like in practice? That’s what this episode is all about.
Pretty Fly Copy
STETSON
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 It doesn’t look like it, but this is a personalized email. A cold-snap was/is fixing to hit major parts of the US, so to prepare, Stetson sent out this brilliant campaign. “Accessories that bring the heat,” “Cold weather essentials,” “Get ahead of the next cold front” – all great pieces of copy relevant to what’s at hand.
FOUR SIGMATIC
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 I really liked the subject line because it was benefit-driven (”Cut the caffeine, keep the focus”). In fact, that was what this entire email was about: cutting caffeine while still reaping its benefits through the power of mushrooms. It’s a great example of “the rule of one” at play.
BELLROY
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 “Less is more,” right? While Bellroy hosts a wide range of products, they feature the ones here that go in your pockets. It’s a great approach to narrowing down your messaging by featuring both products and copy that supports the angle.
STAND+
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 From the contrarian subject line to the hero reminiscent of an instagram ad and the compare and contrast approach throughout, I loved everything about this campaign.
