Must-Read Articles
How to Use Neuroscience to Grow Your Business: 14 Powerful Tips (via Gravital Agency)
Why I recommend it: I’m beginning to learn that “emotional resonance” is vital to effective marketing campaigns (though often overlooked), and employing key persuasion tactics can help you create messages that, well, resonate emotionally. This article has 14 tips worth integrating into your next ad campaign, email campaign, or landing page!
How Quality Advertising Can Benefit Us (via Psychology Today)
Why I recommend it: Quality advertising can uplift our mood and inspire positive emotions. It can also foster empathy, nostalgia, and a sense of connection with others. By showcasing meaningful stories and beautiful imagery, good ads remind us of the goodness in life and encourage us to seek joy and purpose. In other words, it’s good to do your best work when putting an ad together ;)
Seasonal Email Strategies: Stand Out on Black Friday & Cyber Monday (via CMS Wire)
Why I recommend it: During BFCM, it can be challenging to stand out among the noise. But you can employ specific strategies to cut through the clutter and stand out as a viable competitor. Biggest rule of thumb? Keep things dead simple. Surprising rule of thumb? Maybe dial back on the personalization…

3 Reasons This Q4 is Different: How to Prepare for the 2024 Holiday Season
⏰ 21 minutes
Why I recommend it: This Q4 and BFCM season is unique for three reasons:
Cyber Monday is actually in December;
It’s a shorter holiday period; and
It’s an election year.
How does all of this affect consumer spending and how should you pivot your strategies to accommodate the shift? Be sure to carve out 21 minutes from your busy schedule to learn more.

Pretty Fly Copy
FEEL GOODS
Format: Post Purchase Email
Why I like it: I liked the little GIF magnifying glass in the hero (doesn’t show up in the image, sorry). But I enjoyed how they broke down the effectiveness of their product. The copy and design went well together. Only thing I’d add? A CTA. There is none. Even one encouraging me to explore their other products would be an easy win.
TOPICALS
Format: Email
Why I like it: This was an interesting UGC/Social Proof email. It looks like they took an influencer UGC video and broke it down into sectional content for an email campaign. It’s a great way to change up your content!
ANA LUISA
Format: Flash Sale Email
Why I like it: It’s a great demonstration of the rule of one at play: 1 message (e.g. deal of the day), 1 product (e.g. Everyday Earrings Bundle), 1 urgent call to action (e.g. “Shop Today’s Deal”). I also liked the line: Buy them once, wear them (literally) every day.
SCRIBE
Format: Instagram Video Ad
Why I like it: What initially grabbed my attention was the little label: WFH Hack 🔥. Then I noticed the thumbnail caption: do this & never repeat yourself to your coworkers again. Those aside, it was a quick video of how easy using their tool is. Makes wanting to try it out easy.
