I’ve been writing online in some capacity for almost 25 years.
Yes, I realize that statement (somewhat tragically) dates me, but it also carries with it a lot of knowledge from a myriad of successes and failures in my attempts to put words on paper and in front of people’s eyeballs.
And if there’s one thing I’ve grown acutely aware of in that amount of time, it’s that your ability to connect with others in this space and through this medium is only as good as the words you write, and more importantly, how you write them.
You can’t half-ass it and expect to have any sort of impact.
It doesn’t matter your industry or whether you’re a copywriter, content writer, or CEO who dabbles in cheap thought leadership posts on LinkedIn.
If you lack any sort of foundation in your approach to how you craft your messages, then they’re going to fail to resonate and you’ll be frustrated by the results (especially if any sort of ‘effect’ is what you’re after).
The biggest mistake I’ve seen writers make?
Saying too much when less would not only suffice, but also make their message more clear.
It’s one of the reasons I put this mini-course together.
In the last 4-5 years, I’ve worked almost exclusively in the eCommerce industry, partnering with brands while freelancing (and now at Homestead Studio – one of the top growth marketing agencies in our space).
In that time, I’ve written (literally) thousands of emails, SMS messages, and other pieces of marketing collateral.
The marketing campaigns that win 99.99% of the time?
The ones that observe these 5 principles.
If you’re looking for a way to transform your approach to copywriting and craft clearer more compelling copy, then I encourage you to sign up for my free mini-course here.
It’s a week of emails (1 per day).
Super easy to digest.
No major time commitment on your part.
But be warned: I’m only offering a limited run of this mini-course through the end of the year, making some modifications based on feedback, and then re-launching it sometime next year.
So, if you want in now (and are willing to provide some feedback), you have until December 15 to sign up.
I’m capping enrollment at the first 100 subscribers and then moving everyone else to a waitlist. Spots will fill up, so be sure to get in while you can!
I love helping people learn, grow, and improve their craft – especially copywriters. Don’t miss the chance to learn from my 25-ish years of successes and failures so you don’t make the same mistakes I did!
