Have you ever heard the saying: You are who you’re with?
I think it’s true.
Whether we care to admit it or not, our environment rubs off on us.
In some weird form of osmosis, the thoughts, behaviors, actions, and worldviews of others permeate our subconscious and influence us into new ways of living.
It’s been true in my own life. Maybe it’s because I’m impressionable, or maybe it’s because I tend to stick with the same (types of) people for long periods of time.
Either way, it happens.
I think this is one of the reasons I’m so picky about the people I work alongside and submit myself to when it comes to leadership.
I know they’re going to rub off on me.
All that to say, I’m grateful for the people I get to partner with on projects at Homestead. They’re good people.
Hardworking. Creative. Optimistic. Curious. Diehard problem-solvers — you know, the kind of people you don’t mind becoming like.
Who are you with?
