After spending the last two weeks offline and completely disconnected from the internet, I returned back to my routine and rhythm with a renewed perspective.
While I recognize the value (and sense of disruption) evolutions like AI brings to my industry, I also recognize the importance of authenticity and human connection.
So, I wanted to find a way to signal that across my online real estate.
I’ve decided to make the “Copywriter Column” more personal, and I’m bringing it exclusively to the inbox.
These will be short and unfiltered thoughts on topics and trends and insights in marketing. I’m committed to handwriting these first, so you’ll know they’re genuine and really from me.
The in-depth articles and insights I’ve typically leveraged the Copywriter Column for are getting a new home: The Edit.
I have a lot of topics already planned out for this year, but always welcome for suggestions. That said, I want to move away from only writing on “copywriting” and expand The Edit to also include topics around broader messaging strategies and creative team management and leadership. They’ll remain grounded in sound principles – no worries there.
The Weekly Round Up will not change. Although, I will be opening those up to sponsorships soon (stay tuned).
As I progress in my career and life, I’m growing more comfortable with moving a bit slower and not joining the mass frenzy toward every new and shiny object in our space.
I have an affinity toward the more timeless and simple things – ones that have proven themselves over the decades. That includes using a physical pen to put my words and thoughts on actual paper.
So, what’s next?

I will say, The Edit will likely take a bi-weekly cadence now, but that’s it.
